Play with your chicks every day. Feed them while they sit in your lap. A cloth on your lap helps to prevent "he just pooped he probably won't poop, o crap there's poop on my clothes" syndrome. Cup them in your hand, and let their head poke out. Rub their head on your cheeks. Generally just baby...

Ok this is driving me insane.
My babies are almost 4 weeks. I put them in a bigger brooder with plenty of room and perches. My base is pine shavings. Last weekend i went out in my garden and and brought in a box of dirt for them to dust bathe and have fun in.
All was well for a few days but...

This was the brooder i put them in until just 2 days ago. They are now in a much larger space now with plenty of perches. I converted an old dresser drawer that was going to be trashed.
The newspaper has since been replaced with pine shavings. They LOVED that.
