She's eating and drinking when I put the food and ware next to her but hasn't pooped once since I brought her in 4 hours ago.

Do you have a red bulb in your heat lamp? The guy at Agway told me it helps keep the pecking down as they can't see the blood.

The band-aid treatment works! I had a chick a couple of years ago with splayed legs and I used that method and it fixed the problem. I still have the chicken- we named her Gimpy.
