We've only had chickens for 3 months now but they seem to love strawberries and fermented grains. They also went crazy for some leftover pork roast that got dry.
A little history first... We started with 7 chicks and 1 duck together and all was fine with the duck being on the low end of the pecking order. Then we had 6 chicks killed by the neighbor's dog ( long story). We got some new chicks about the same age as the previous and tried to integrate them...
Hi,
We're using a dog kennel as a chicken run and would like to grow some plants on it for both shade and for nibbling. Any suggestions or ones I should avoid? Thanks!
Hello all:
I've been using this site for a few weeks now and thought it was time to be a member. First time chicken farmer (other than at grandmas) and loving my warm fuzzy gals. Started with 4 and have already been bitten by the "gotta-have-just-one-more" bug :)
