Run friendly plants.

Hi,
We're using a dog kennel as a chicken run and would like to grow some plants on it for both shade and for nibbling. Any suggestions or ones I should avoid? Thanks!

If you add your location we'll be able to provide better suggestions for what might grow well in your area. You can do this by going to your profile page and clicking on the edit community profile button. I'm not sure what plants to avoid, but I can recommend growing grape vines over on the run for shade and food. I have them on my run and the chickens love them.
