    Those eggs look great. Yes we cooked our first eggs the next day. So yummy. I am keeping an egg count for a year to see if they are earning their keep. Ha ha so far I'm up to 33 eggs. Getting about 5 a day right now.

    Its a great feeling isn't it? 5 out of my 9 girls are laying. Within one week we have gotten 25 eggs! Before u know it, you will have more. Every egg I get is still so exciting!

    My first egg came this morning!! From either my red sex links or black sex links. Not sure which one of my girls layed it but super excited!

    I actually found it in the nesting box!! That was a surprise to me since I always read people saying how they find them everywhere but their nesting boxes!!! I'm hoping for some more tomorrow. I will check again tonight too! It's a great feeling. Yours will come soon too!! I'm sure of it

    I bought these chickens from a hatchery and they referred them as "special blacks" and "special browns" What is their actual breed name?
