I have about a dozen purebred Serama chicks under a week old, mostly with yellow/white down and some black spots or hints of rosy color. A few are also lightly booted, which is hard to find. Some are already showing wing feathers, there are some...
anybody want some free japanese bantams? i've been trying to sell them on craigslist for about three weeks now, nothing but flaky people who waste my time and don't show up. i just hatched new chicks and need the brooder space like yesterday. they're about 3 months old, 3 are cockerels, will...
I have too many cockerels so three are for sale. Absolutely adorable, slightly older than 2 months old. They're all frizzle silkied so they'll be super fluffy and will be able to pass on both the frizzled and silkied genes. They're all between 5-6 ounces at the moment, they are my three smallest...
Hi again everyone, 5 of my original 9 seramas turned out to be roos so I'm selling three. They're all frizzled/silkied, mostly white and blue mottled with some red. Currently about 2 months old and 5-6 ounces, these are my three smallest cockerels. Too cold to ship so pickup only near...
Gorgeous purebred polish rooster, he's a young adult bit less than a year old and a very unique chocolate/copper color combination. He is not aggressive to people at all, very attentive to his hens. Has gorgeous long tail feathers and is doing just fine in the cold so far. Hate to sell him but I...
sooo my lovely little silkie has apparently decided that new year's is the perfect day to go broody for the first time :D toying with the idea of getting some serama eggs to put under her...
edit: just ordered some serama eggs. dang addictive birdies.
if it were me, i'd just blu kote any of the blood stains and the toenail, then leave her be. she won't be pretty again until after her next moult, but you won't have to worry about other birds pecking at her. saves you both from having to endure a bath.
i'm a sucker for interesting mixes, i love the really unique looking ones. here's a few of my recent ones, the barred and white ones are silkie/polish mixes, the rosy gray is a polish/EE/RIR and the black pullet is a silkie/cochin mix.
It's hard to say 'cos he's on the bottom of the pecking order, so in my flock he's pretty submissive. He's not aggressive towards people at all but he is kinda skittish, as Polish tend to be. Personally I think he's worth more than $5 but I just wanna make room for new blood. :)
