I didnt notice anything wrong with the actual eye in person and ever since I was able to catch her to take these pictures I havent been able to get too close they are hiding under a brushy tree but I do know that i thought the eye looked fine. I'm thinking maybe she got stung by something? Also...

Just got home and saw my 9 week or so old Rhode island red with a bulging eye socket that looks like an infection maybe? Can anyone help diagnose and recommend any treatments?
I just walked outside to find my 2 year old daughter feeding a stick of butter to my 9 week old chickens and indulging in some herself lol. Should I be worried at all? Is it safe for them? At most they probably ate half a stick between 6 birds
