    Wow, I would've never guessed that one... Thank you very much!! :-) Now I'll have to Do my research on them. Now I know I have two roosters. The other one is in that same pic towards the back right. He's a Rhode Island Red. One of them, not sure which, started crowing just a couple of mornings...

    Well my girls have all grown up, they're almost 6 months old now. Had to rethink the nesting boxes because the ones i built inside the coop were being used to sleep/poop in(my fault on that one...) They're completely free range now in my backyard so I used the 5 gallon bucket idea and created...

    Thanks everyone!! :-) Last night was the first night that my girls spent the night outside the coop. I was so nervous, almost like when your child spends their first night ever at a friend's house... Haha.. But they did great, not one problem all night long. Just need my little one week olds...

    Advice taken!! 1/2 in. hardware cloth all around the perimeter of the coop and a little in the ground.

    Not sure what breed or sex these two chicks are.....

    I got these two little guys(or gals) from my kid's school. They had a science experiment hatching eggs in which all the eggs were donated. The teacher didn't know the breed but they are cute. Anyone that recognizes these little guys and knows what they are would be very appreciative.

    You know I had actually thought of that too after I had looked at other coops and how they had their wiring done. We do have racoons around where I am too so i will be definitly investing in some hardware cloth and installing this week. Backup methods for those predators are either to trap...
