    Did you learn any more about this? My young rooster has huge skin flakes particularly on his neck. Maybe its a normal condition at that age.

    Any help identifying problem? Mh hens have had raw lower backs for most of this year. Particularly my 2 black australorps who are also a bit raw on the backs of their necks. I have not seen any bugs or eggs on them but it looks like they're gnawing off their feathers. Themselves or each others.

    I've got a big flower garden and my hens like to peck for bugs UNDER the other hen trying to relax in the dustbath. I think it's sibling rivalry just trying to irritate each other a bit for a laugh. Then finally pack in tight and chill.
