Saint Louis Friends!
One of our young BYC buddies needs our help!
His dad is undergoing brain tumor surgery, and he and his mom are going to have a hard few months ahead of them. But some friends are putting together a craft fair to raise money for the family! If you can come, it's at 6327 Clayton Ave, 63139 on Saturday (the 12th) from 10am to 3pm. We have artisans selling jewelry, hand knit goods, cards, crafts, and a handmade quilt to raffle.
Hope to see you there!!!

Very cool, kycklingar!! I'll try and stop by!

I REALLY need your help everyone! A man from the University City government came by today and said I have 10 days to get rid of my roosters or they will come take them away. Apparently someone complained about them! They really need a new home! Please, if anyone would be willing to take any of my 3 silkie roosters, or know anyone who does, please let me know! I can deliver them if need be.

It's funny I just found this thread today - just a couple days since you tried bringing it back to life. I am a new chicken owner and loving it. It's fun and rewarding. I live about 45 minutes south of St. Louis (Illinois side). I have 2 black australorp hens, 2 ameraucana hens and a partridge cochin rooster which was sold to me as a hen but he finally convinced me he was a rooster a few days ago... :). Not sure yet if I should be happy about it or not. At least I live in a rural area I won't have any complaints from the neighbors from his 5:30 AM crowing! Certainly happy with the bunch so far. They get along great. I'm a little nervous about getting through the colder weather. I need start reading up.

I am about as far south as you but on the MO side. You in the Waterloo area?

Would be great to get a STL group back together and maybe have some meetup/trades!
