    Thanks. She is eating, drinking, and alert and I gave her some cat food soaked in water. She's hopping around a bit but mostly is laying down and staying off her leg, which is good. I hope the vet will be able to fix her leg, or at least amputate.

    I need to make a mark on each of my lutino budgies so I don't mix them up, and I use food colring which I know is 100% safe but I don't know where the food coloring is and my mom is asleep so i can't ask her.     You can also use shallow lids and frisbees (A few years ago at earth day we got tiny little frisbees which i now use for water dishes for my buttons. works great)

    Imo, feeding any live animal to anything is wrong. i wouldnt feed a chick to something anymore than I would feed a mouse to something. i'd keep the chicks/mice/rats/etc as pets instead and get rid of the snake.

    I put a bowl of egg shells in for my buttons and budgies and it lasts at least 3 days, but I'm not sure if I shold be throwing out what they haven't eaten everyday and replacing it with fresh egg shell? Does it spoil? Does egg shell work as grit? And you know how when you peel the egg shell off...
