    She passed away last night. She was a healthy and cantankerous old bitty. I held her for quite a while before putting her in her coop for the night.

    My hen, Candy, just lost her last coop mate of 5+ years. She shares with four newer hens now, but she quit eating since foghorn passed and she won't forage. It's like she's starving herself.     She layed an egg , seemed to feel better.... Back to droopy again. Just gave her some nutri drench... going to monitor for the day.

    So, things got better as the evening came up. She did lay an egg late afternoon early evening... that's about when she started feeling better. It was just weird. I was so worried! She's never done that before.
