My hen, Candy, just lost her last coop mate of 5+ years. She shares with four newer hens now, but she quit eating since foghorn passed and she won't forage. It's like she's starving herself. I'm sad and don't want to lose Candy too! What do I do? Will she come out of this funk? I appreciate any help/advice/suggestions.

What did the hen die from?
Won't eat treats?
How are you sure she's not eating?

Any loss of a flock member cause some stress.
They usually adjust given time....maybe take a week or so.

She passed away last night. She was a healthy and cantankerous old bitty. I held her for quite a while before putting her in her coop for the night.
