Is it normal for hens to lay many eggs before sitting on it? I observe hens do not sit on her eggs until it reaches 8-18 eggs. Will this not rot the older ones and only hatch new newer eggs?
BTW my hen only lays after 2-3 days an egg
(newbie here)
I have many questions. First how to know your breed?
Second, just for example, does the color of the feathers show they are a different breed? Or is everybreed has many colors? Thank you for your help
I really wonder why my chicken eggs are sometimes being gone. The only one in the pen and coop are the goats. Do goats also eat eggs? And even eggs with chicks inside?
Thank you so much for all your help chicken lovers! May I ask again. Why doe smy rooster's crow still very short and not sounds a crow. It's like a screech?
You are right yes this was posted twice. My bad.but thank you so much for your reply. It was still clean and not wet. Why? Do eggs when got wet won't hatch?
Is it okay to transfer eggs? What I mean is my chicken payed an egg on the ground so I put it on the basket where they lay and then she sat on that. Will it still hatch? Even i hold it and it was transferred?
