    They are doing both. Fighting between roosters, mating right after one another. We are working on getting more hens!

    If we keep them separate won't the boys fight each other then? Do you let 1 at a time to mix with the hens? They are free range at the moment. She knows about keeping too many and our safety. She just is attached to ones that may need to go.

    I need advice. We had a group of 8 chicks that are now 6 months. Out of the 8, 5 are roosters. The safety of my kids comes first for me so I assume those coming after people will go. But then how do you choose which one to choose if the rest seem to be doing well??
