I might worry about this, becuase as the duckling grows, (s)he will come to beleive that (s)he is a chickien. I have had male ducklings being raised by a chicken mama, when they grow up, try to mate with the hens. Ends up hurting seriously or sometimes even killing...
All chicks have arrived, all are healthy and alive;surprisingly lively considering the shipping. My exotic chick is a Buff Laced Polish. Already I can tell that it is a roo.
The one with the five toes and tan wings is a salmon faverolle. The one from the blue egg is a blue ameraucana. Can we see a comb pic of the alleged barred rock, with its yellow legs it could also be a Dominique or maybe even an SLW. Your last chick may be an andulasian, not entirely sure. Keep...
Right, I get it. My Rhodesian ridgeback mix turned killer on me. In February, she killed 18 of my 36. Let us know how the training goes, hope your puppy does well.
I am very sorry to hear this. Lila was beautiful. Make sure to let your puppy know that killing chickens is not ok. It's best for them to learn when they are a puppy. Some dogs can learn not to kill as adults, and it is beyond some others.
Nice to have them one their names. I like the name Donald for a pekin..... BTW, if you have anymore questions on your Mr. Briggs, you should ask Pyxis. She raises Roman Tufteds, so knows a whole lot more about them than me lol.
I have noticed that they do have quite a selection of feed. They have two or three goats there, and getting new chicks wvery week. You can fbe be their schedule at their website. Very friendly place, bothered to learn my name after the first 20 times I came in.
