That's good news!Thank you. I looked today and in person the comb isn't pink. My daughter had taken these. I'm learning patience as my mentor in LA has been drilling me!
I do agree with others that the dark stripes still make the bird appear to be black with white stripes (female), where as the males look white with black stripes. One of my girls had the big white spot on her head and and enough white barring to make me question for quite a while. In the end she was female.

Funny how a picture might be worth a thousand words doesn't mean it's telling truth! like how the comb looked pink but not in person.
