    Goats need minerals with copper and copper is toxic to sheep.That's the biggest drawback. I have read that you can place the goat minerals higher up where only the goats can reach them,but I'm too paranoid to try that. Sheep will graze on shorter grass and can pick up more parasites that way...

    Is there a particular breed of goat that makes a nice pet?

    I keep reading that you shouldn't have just one goat.They are herd animals and need to be with at least one other goat. Because of that info I got two.......which a month later is now six.It's a sickness.

    My roo was great until puberty hit.Now he attacks me ,but not my husband. This weekend he left long scratches on my leg and several bites and bruises.I'm scared to go in the coop .He's a big RIR.I used to just go in the run and sit with them,but now I can't even take in food and water safely.
