Oh I already have...the man that owns it owns several houses outright and has been renting them but has tired pretty quickly of dealing with tenants. I didn't want to seem too eager but he does know that the land would actually be used not developed on. He's asking the other potential buyer...

I bought a kids' pool at walmart that already had a drain in it...they had the standard size then the larger size, but only the large one had the drain (I imagine because it is so large that one would have a hard time lift it when it's full). I use it as a brooder and it works great.

You said it! It's getting a little bit rediculous I think, wonder what happened to good old fashioned country living??? I miss it.

My hubby and I have been looking for a new, bigger place for us, the kids, the dog and the ducks (thinking about adding chickens and goats too LoL)....we were offered a place with some acerage (already fenced in), a coop already built, and a barn that would be just PERFECT for us. Lots of room...

I'm not sure what kind of rug it is, my parent's owned a carpet cleaning company for 40 years and this was one that never got picked up before they decided to close up shop. I do know it's an oriental and worth some serious $$$, probably less now that my two kids have been around LoL

My little ducklings are absolutely darling! Two of thm are darker than the other three though, having dark lines along the eyes and down the back with a darker beak..it has me wondering: is this a gender thing? I got some pictures but they don't show the differences as dramatically as you can...

Alrighty so 5 of the eggs hatched, I went to check on the other and it had died It hadn't even internally pipped yet, the membrane wasn't dry or any thicker than the others so I suppose it was just mother nature. Speaking of! Remember that one I had to help get unstuck? Well he isn't doing...

Teehee, he keeps poking at the other eggs like "hey! get out and ppppplllaaaayyyyyy with me!"

We have a ducky!!!!! I went to check on them just in time and got to see him hatch!!! Duck ABC's, you sure breed some gorgeous babies! I managed to get the whole thing recorded, but my husband has a potty mouth so once I get music covering the background sounds I will post it on youtube and...

Well I think I misjudged that one, I had my hubby look at it with me in the bathroom (where it was dark) and we saw what appeared to be the duck trying to pip internally. So we put him back, I'll keep checking on him but for now he seems active enough, just a little behind the others.

He is officially unstuck and with one good push he will be all the way out!

Okay thank you, hubby and I are about to get to it...also I have another potential issue I've never run across before. One of the little ones has his little beak sticking out the hole and I haven't seen him pull it back in for a few hours, could he be stuck?

I'm so glad you found it in time, that would've terrified me! Now tell me, how do you get your cat and dog to accept your ducklings??? Mine think that they are chew toys LoL we have to keep them seperated
