I faced the large doors out for just that reason. Easy access for cleaning. I too have 2 dog runs attached to the side with a small drop door there. I would definitely do the Rubbermade shed again. With minor modefications it has worked really well for us. Hope you find one reasonable that will...- mmaddie's mom

Outer doors are closed & latched at night. The smaller drop door faces into the secure pen. I don't always close it on warm summer nights because many choose to roost out in the secure pen. I've had this set up for 3 years now & it has worked great! No predators have gotten in. Well worth the...- mmaddie's mom

Thanks All! I really love it and so do the girls & Remus. I wouldn't do anything differently. As for ventilation, for the Winter months I think it will be fine, with ready placed vents in each end AND it is not air tight (plus a few extra drill-size holes made when I made several "oops"...- mmaddie's mom

Caribbean chickens
Just got back from the Caribbean (relax, not as glamorous as it sounds... we were crew on a missionary boat for 15 days... very beautiful place, wonderful Caribbean people, but very hot, very hard and nothing is easy)... anyway, our Captain came back from shore and told me that there were 2 hens...- mmaddie's mom
