I had kept him in the brooder by himself for an extra 2 weeks because he was slow to grow his back feathers and tail feathers in and it was still cold here. They just never grew in.
I have a beautiful 4 month old light brahma rooster, but he still hasn't really developed his tail feathers, is that normal? I have another one that's the same age and he has tail feathers, so i was wondering if my big boy is just a late bloomer? Or will he always have a "not so full" tail...

he's a very sweet, docile little fella, and takes good care of his hens :) I'd just like to know what kind he is? And since he's on the smaller side, will his offspring be more likely to be small like him? Or big like their mom?
I got them all at rural king... the lady said people pick them up and might put them back in a different box, so she didn't guarantee what kind, but I got them on mother's day and they were brand new babies then.
well, she hides when she does it. her and my shepherd are outside dogs that i actually got to protect my chicks. where she finds things to chew is beyond me. are nearest neighbor is almost 2 miles away, and she's never far away. she comes running as soon as i call her, so she's not stealing...
my malinois is almost six months, i gave up on trying to get her to stop eating the chicken poo, i guess better the poo than the chickens, lol. she's a wonderful, smart dog and very sweet around the chicks. her only vice is cheating up everything :/
