    Hi! I have a 4 to 5 year old light Brahma with an abscess/tumor on her cheek? It's causing her to have trouble eating and also her left eye is swollen shut.     Thank you for saying you would take them if you lived closer...They really are such beautiful boys...but being two of them they are twice as loud. I think if I could just rehome one, I would keep the other. Unfortunately, if I don't get a reply soon, they're going to have to go to freezer camp :(

    I have one16 week old SLW with a large double rose comb and another of the same age with a large single notched comb. I don't know if this indicates sex type? Or is it a breed thing? Anyone have any imput on this? Thanks

    6 week old Arucana is keeping one eye closed. No swelling, no discharge. help?

    So I got 10 chicks several weeks ago, all have been growing rapidly and eating and drinking normally. Yesterday one of my arucana chicks was keeping one eye closed. Thats the only symptom I can observe. She's eating, drinking and running around like normal...but it's like she pulls up the lower...

    Fungal skin infection on rooster

    So I bathed my Barred Rock yesterday with the Malaseb shampoo. She tolerated it very well. Then I kept her inside , wrapped in a towel 'til she was mostly dry. I applied some Bag Balm to the red areas...and returned her to the flock. This morning, she is still just as red as before ...

    Thank you so much for your reply...I really appreciate it I would imagine you could order Bag Balm online fairly inexpensively as it is for sale over here in the U.S. at almost every retail store. I will let you know how it works. Merci!

    Have any of you had success using Bag Balm on your chickens with scaly leg mites? I have read several posts on BYC and most reccommend Vaseline...just wondering if BB might work. Thanks!
