Fungal skin infection on rooster

So I bathed my Barred Rock yesterday with the Malaseb shampoo. She tolerated it very well. Then I kept her inside , wrapped in a towel 'til she was mostly dry. I applied some Bag Balm to the red areas...and returned her to the flock. This morning, she is still just as red as before ???? Although, she seems more energetic and hungry. I upped the protein in her diet, and she has always had ACV in her drinking water (now using the kind with the mother as suggested by beekissed, keeping my fingers crossed! Any more suggestions? or just wait and see?

Hi, I'm new with chickens, in fact was just givin my first rooster 2 months ago. He now has the same growth your rooster had. Did the soap work for you? Do you know anymore about it, where it stems from, does it spread?
Please help!!!

Well, I went to get soap but one of the workers at the feed store recommended using Diatomacious Earth instead. Unfortunately I went off to college and my family didn't keep up with his treatments so the infection spread to the point where we had to put him down. You may want to try both the soap and the Diatomacious Earth and see what works for you. I hope he gets better. :)
