I'm gonna share some pictures of my 3 Phu Phan chicks that are now about 6 weeks old! :love
I couldn't really tell them apart at all in the beginning so I put some vet wrap bands in different colors around their legs: white, blue and black.
They were all very skittish and flighty...
@Scrambles55 Absolutely! I can definitely share some! :love
I'll start off by showing some pictures of Mograine (male). I don't have any recent photos of him as he passed away very unexpectedly in late October.. He was as gorgeous as he was sweet and affectionate so it really broke my heart...
@Wyorp Rock Alright, will do! :)
@micstrachan Yes perhaps! I checked and I believe he doesn't walk quite as stiffly inside the coop. It's almost like he's more relaxed and doesn't overthink it, if that makes sense haha. But it could also be that he doesn't walk as upright as he does outside or...
@Wyorp Rock thank you! I ordered the epsom salt yesterday and it should be here in a couple of days, so I'll start with the daily soaks as soon as it arrives.
Should I continue only with the vitamins I have a couple of days a week or should I try with the vitamins you suggested instead? If I...
@Wyorp Rock i've taken some pictures, but he was very uncooperative about soaking his feet and I would've needed an extra pair of hands to get better pictures but hopefully these can give some information in the meantime. I inspected his feet closely and felt if there were any rough spots or...
@Wyorp Rock thank you!
They're given a feed that's for growing birds (from hatch up to 18 weeks or until the hen starts laying). I don't know how specifically you're asking, so if you want specifics:
Protein: 17 %
Råfett & råolja: 4,5 %
Växttråd: 8 %
Råaska: 6,7 %
Metionin: 3,4 %
Lysin: 8,5 g...
Hi,
I'm in desperate need of advice..
My 17-week-old cockerel has a very stiff walk. It started about 4 or 5 weeks ago when the temperature started going below zero. He would have a very stiff walk that I assumed was that he thought it was cold and unpleasant outside. I had read that chickens...
@EggSighted4Life Ah great! Yes I haven't gotten to that yet.. but I'd be very curious to see what little ones these ladies could produce :love
Yes all of them still have a couple of white wing feathers lurking underneath..
@ButtonquailGirl14 Thank you! I love them too :')
@EggSighted4Life Yes, their color is wonderful! I hope the darker lacing isn't something that will fade and they'll grow out of as they become adults.. :love
Thanks! :thumbsup
Yes sorry it was meant to those that asked what breed they were, but I haven't mastered how the quote thing works yet so now my answers are just all over the place instead..
Thank you! They are Liege Fighters, and yes I agree.. very pretty! :love
And I'm curious @Cyprus , are the iridescent feathers a sign that they are in fact black? Is it possible for it to occur in chickens with the blue gene? Or any other color for that matter :D
I don't really know how genetics work, but I find it very interesting. These 3-month-olds are from blue parents, so they could be either black or blue. I've always thought they were black and their sisters blue, but looking at some pictures of them where they looked suspiciously bright colored...
