Thanks Michael - do I still do the blackhead treatment for 4 days to Jasmine and then the 10-day later treatment to all of them of Valbazen?
Are you saying that the preventative treatment for the 9.6% liquid is 1 tsp per gallon for 5 days? Or are you saying that is the treatment for Jasmine...
I thought the Corid I ordered wouldn't make it here soon so I bought the 9.6% solution in liquid at the feed store.
Then when I got home the Twin Poultry Corid had arrived, should I start today or tomorrow morning? Can I still give them the probiotics or should I wait?
THANK YOU MICHAEL!
I did treat all of them with Valbazen 6 days ago per Kathy's suggestion.
There are four days left for the 10 days in-between.
I will treat Jasmine that 4 days with the blackhead treatment.
Then do the 2nd (10 day later) treatment with Valbazen for all of them.
Corid is on...
KATHY & MICHAEL - THANK YOU - PLEASE CHECK THIS UPDATE FOR YOUR CURRENT OPINION! THANK YOU!
(Dawg, I am trying my best to balance all of the information and be a responsible steward of my animals - I would think that would be what all advisers on this forum would expect. I am grateful.)...
Thank you so much for asking.
I posted two photos and commented just before you asking. See above.
She seems to be doing better. I'll do another check tomorrow. I do have Corid on the way, because all of their poo is starting to have a yellow tint to it thought it's not watery like hers was?????
Okay, I did treat for Blackhead and there is even more improvement.
This is her poo today (photo) and a photo of her as well.
I will get a kitchen scale as soon as I can, but for right now, she feels heavier and thicker.
I treated with the blackhead pill 250mg 1pill for 1 day per the...
These folks ship quickly and it's $4.50 for a bottle...

Twin City poultry wrote me back and said this about the 1 pill 1 day for canker/blackhead. I asked for the milligram for weight, etc.
"250 mg. And it's one pill any less will not work. Does not matter the size of the bird."
We do have an abundance of earth worms here, so maybe she ate more or her immune system couldn't take them?
I just checked on her and she definitely still has diarrhea and the others do not.
I will give this poor hen a blackhead treatment this evening when I have her back inside in the hospital...
Excuse me, it wasn't Jeffers Pet, it was Twin City Poultry where I got the meds to have on hand... and it says 1 pill for 1 day...

Again, I'm wondering if I should do this.
And if so, do I...
Thank you Michael - why would I treat the hen for Blackhead? Is that a common parasite that causes this type of excrement?
That Valzaben doesn't get rid of?
What symptoms does she has that makes you think that is a good treatment?
I do have a "canker-blackhead" dosage on shelf from jeffers pet...
Jasmine has gained weight since the worming. That's why I thought she was better.
She definitely acts much better. Not like she's trying to hide she doesn't feel well.
A little cackling in throat now, but could be stress from staying inside at night.
She's the least human-friendly of them all...
The worming with Valbazen seems to have made some improvement, but not enough.
She is still having unusual feces, but she does seem to be gaining a little weight.
Do you think I should treat with Amprolium? I posted a new photo earlier.
I found Amprolium on Jeffers Pet, but it says for...
HELP! IMPROVEMENT, BUT STILL ABNORMAL FECES...
She isn't projecting watery feces any more, but it is still not normal.
That other clumpy stuff was just what she does in the morning - that Kathy had said looked like starvation poop.
I did the worming Valbazen at midnight on Saturday morning...
Yes, Kathy - she was starving to death, but you saved her with your feedback to worm her with Valbazen. The original posts/pictures were of the food she was constantly eating, constantly running through her. I wormed them not long ago and I use DE and cayenne pepper and did not think it was...
