I hatched two bourbon reds out with my chicks this year. I was sure I had one hen and one Tom. I had a raccoon attack a few weeks ago that claimed one of the turkeys. Now with one left I have nothing to compare it to and can’t tell what I have. This is a current picture at 12-13 weeks now. Thanks.
The same mill has this feed which is higher in protein as suggested but it's pretty high in fat also. I'm worried this could make them fat. Other wise what do you think?
Sounds interesting. Would be fun to play with using the foods I eat. I've cut out sugar and salt in my diet other than what's already in my foods naturally. Basically I just don't add either to food anymore and I don't consume things like soda or salty chips and things. I've had a pretty bad...

I was under the impression that you lowered protein after the starter feed to maintain steady growth without putting meat and weight on a frame that wasn't ready for it. All of the grower I've seen is 15-16%. The starter/grower all in one is usually 18-20%
I've started feeding this to my flock of rir that are 15 weeks old. They really seem to like the textured feed better and eat it all, not just the grain pieces. The pellets are fortified with vitamins and minerals and they look great. I was planning to continue feeding this and just adding...
I haven't been home during the day for three day. I get home and shut the coop up just after dark and I feed and water and let them out just before sunrise. I got home early yesterday and noticed the 9 week olds were all still in the coop. I went out and saw that I had two missing. I walk the...
