This is all extremely helpful. Had no clue ducks really needed it. An old man told me he never gave them anything but chick feed. But then again, I've never seen his ducks so they may be in bad shape.

Will they have niacin at the feed store? I know they'll have brewers yeast. I've heard some give it and some don't.

Well, I'm wanting a good laying/meat combination bird that will be desirable for most chicken buyers. Plus I want good stock to choose from for my own flock. I guess I'm just looking for suggestions as to what would make them the best dual purpose chicks.
