    Thank you for responding, yeah that’s what I’m thinking too! The little blue in the middle is pullet I think, her feathers are different to the other three

    I’m lucky in that we caught it early and that they can go back to the breeder we got them from, to go on and make many more beautiful babies like them... so that makes me feel a lot better, but I’m definitely sad they can’t stay with us

    It’s definitely tough... the blacks do definitely look cockerel though! Thank you, I know... I’m so sad, we can’t keep Roos where I live and I’ve grown so attached to all of them already!

    Thank you... I just took these and I can definitely see a difference in the feathers now. I think the blacks are both boys, the splash/blue in the first picture is probably pullet and then I’m unsure/couldn’t get a clear look at the other splash/blue.

    Thank you for responding!! It’s dark here now but I can definitely try... I did just take these to try and get a picture of their feathers though, and it kind of shows the colouring better!

    Hi! I’m new to this site and new to keeping chickens... We have two Orpington’s, five standard Cochins and a ‘bonus’ ICB... all between 6 and 8 weeks old. Our oldest Cochin is definitely pullet as far as I can tell, no wattle or comb to speak of... so it’s making me worry that my other FOUR...
