It really makes me sad for people who have to re-home their little guys, because it's impossible not to get attached to them

I’m lucky in that we caught it early and that they can go back to the breeder we got them from, to go on and make many more beautiful babies like them... so that makes me feel a lot better, but I’m definitely sad they can’t stay with us

Thank you for responding, yeah that’s what I’m thinking too! The little blue in the middle is pullet I think, her feathers are different to the other three

Generally I look at comb and wattles, and attitude in the first few weeks. I have been pretty much right on picking out the cockerels in my hatches, but not 100%
