    Here is "Simba" my 7 month old Roo I hatched this year and keeping. He is so sweet and I love his coloring :) Interesting thing is he was hatched black with yellow chest! So I guess you never know what they will end up like!

    What does everyone keep their cochins on in their run and coop? I'm having a heck of a time keeping them clean and dry and foot feathers intact without putting them in wire cages off the ground. These are not for showing but need to stay nice for breeding etc... Pictures would be a bonus ;-)

Does anyone with Columbian colored chickens have more problems with mites in that color than any other color? I ask because with the 50+ chickens...

    What is the typical size of egg from Lg. Cochins? I recently acquired two hens and they both lay smaller round eggs..... I have only ever owned the bantam Cochins but these eggs are not much bigger than theirs?
