SHE'S DOING A LOT BETTER!!! I TOOK HER BACK TO THE FEED STORE AND THEY WOULDN'T TAKE HER THEY GAVE ME SOME TERRAMICIN AND I TOOK HER HOME, SOAKED HER IN WARM WATER, CLEANED HER, PUT MORE HELICRISUM ON HER AND WRAPPED HER IN A CLOTH, USED A DROPPER WITH MEDS, AND SAT WITH HER ON MY LAP AND...

Thanks Anne I'm just going to leave them be and see what happens. That way I'm not tripping on them and worrying all the time. This is not as fun as I thought it would be due to how stressful it is. My store bought chicks are doing great and they keep me from crying.

None of them made it. I opened them up on Sat. and they were pretty fully formed but the yolk sak was not absorbed yet. They seemed to be dry. I am NOT going to do this again. Too stressful, I'd rather go to the feed store and get a new chick and love it right away. My other chicks doing...

THANK YOU so much for the advice I've been so upset about this whole thing and puzzled. I was told that 21 day was it. Being my first time I am so glad I have your experience to help me along. My kids will be so excited if the chicks make it!!! Smiles and I'll send pics when they hatch!

My chicks were due to hatch yesturday but haven't even started, I candled them tonight and they are very active inside still. What do I do? How long can they go over their hatch date? How long do I wait until I dispose of the eggs?
