Our Coop: We pretty much took our old shed and replaced the roof. Then added 2 windows, and took the old dog run and turned it into the chicken run! We also took some cheap plastic chicken wire and tomatoe stakes and made a run for when we're home. They get a lot of ourside time now. We recieved...
I have a Banty mixed breed Rooster and a large mixed breed rooster that need a new home.
Please PM for more info.
ETA: I DO NOT want to know what these will be for... ;0)
Our Banty Robin is the trouble maker... and it looks like he's rubbing off on Batman...
I think both are going to have to go. But from watching Tim going out there I saw Batman size him up, spur, and the turkey getting between Tim and Batman almost as if to get between the fighting. Batman...
Our Tom attacked my husband, along with our big roo. I'm not sure what to do but he's saying we have to get rid of him...
Why would they be ganging up on him? It's been all of a sudden. I guess last night Batman (the roo) was following him close behind when he was leaving the coop with Captain...
We have our little Buckbeak easter egger and he is just fine! I was so nervous after he hatched but he eats and drinks. We just make sure to have a deeper dish for him to eat and drink out of.
Captain is either getting an attitude or trying to attract our hen Morgan. What does his hissing/huffing mean when he's strutting? Is it a sign of aggression or is he trying to attract Morgan for mating? He only does this when he's strutting.
She'd be a year old in June.
The more I look into it I think she may have been egg bound. Although she showed no outward distress that we saw. It's a mystery. I just don't want to lose another one.
We lost our 2nd chicken (mixed breed) to an unknown cause. DH said she was fine Monday and when he went out to collect the eggs last night she was dead. No sign of injury. But we were getting some double yolkers for a while. I'm not sure if she got eggbound or what.
What should I look for. I am...
Thanks for the congrats and well wishes!
She's such an angel! It's so refreshing to be able to put a baby in pink! I've been surrounded by blue!
She's adjusting nicely and I can't believe how well her brothers are looking after her.
I didn't know who would pop first the pullets or I but the pullets beat me to it! It was hilarious the day that I went into the hospital for false labor. I told DH at least we got something!
But she finally made it!
Lilianna was born 11.25.08 @ 7:33pm

Thanks...
Saw this on youtube and thought it was HILARIOUS!
We have 2 turkeys and everyone was asking if they were for Thanksgiving... well they are just pets and this song is just what I pictured them singing to us!
