Hi
I am 5 day into incubation and have had to resort to hand turning my eggs...they dont seem to be turning with the automatic turner (yes, I removed the plastic tray)...AND there is no humidity gauge on the screen...this is my first time using this incubator so i feel a little uneasy about not...
Yay!!! I love this!!! Chickens hatchin chicks is much better than rotating eggs in the incubator!!! My latest delema is... Today is chick day at the local feed store... Those 500 chicks are calling me to them!!! Chickens are addictive... I'm going to need chickens annomous! Lol
Thanks!! I went ahead and moved her to a private coop...she was pretty angry that I was touching her eggs...good thing I was wearing gloves!! At least I know where all my missing eggs had gone!! Crazy chicken is an egg snacher!!
I have a first time broody hen and she's doin a good job so far tending to her eggs....only thing is as she turns and fluffs over her eggs she has come completely out of the nest box into the middle of the coop....the other girls go around her and lay right in the box she should be sitting...
I was wondering that same thing cause I know that guy breeds australops too... I guess as long as nice eggs that's all that matters :)
You guys are awesome!
Her legs are pretty dark... I dont remember them being yellow on the bottom....Shes real Hard to catch her... She's pretty skittish... All my other girls come running wen they see me, but she always keeps her distance. :)
Sorry, my phone has a mind of its own. ... She does have a muff/beard... But no real comb or waddles... Just a bit pink...maybe she is an EE... I jut haven't seen any that were solid black
I got this chicken and i was supposed to be a pullet wyondotte...and clearly doesnt look like a wyondotte...and now Im not even sure if its a pullet. Its about 17 weeks...any thoughts?
I purchased 5 chicks from a feed store in the area and of course the some of my pullets ended up roos! :( They have been regularly handled by my kids, so they will tolerate little hands grabbing at them...unfortunately my neighbors have expressed concern about them crowing (they haven't started...
