I'm sorry to hear about your chicks, but I'm glad that one survived. Your chickens are so cute! Do you have any pics of the fully grown hen and her eggs?
How did your lakeshore egger turn out? Do you have pictures of the eggs or the fully grown chicken? I'm thinking of getting more colored egg layers from Meyer
Wow! They are so pretty! Hope they are doing well! Do you have any pictures of them fully grown? What color did the EE, OE, & GQ eggs come out?
I'm thinking of getting green queens, EE and OE. My last OE turned out to be a light tan egger instead of an olive egger lol. My EE lays beautiful...
Sorry if this is already answered, I didn't read through all the replies. Some ppl could be lying, but I'm not sure why they would. An egg a day, or close to it, is possible. It depends on many factors. Maybe the fact that you have 11 EE might play a part in lower numbers? My EE might lay...
I'm curious to see how the Steele Eggers come out. The website only has pics of the chicks. No pics of the adults or eggs, and I can't really find much online. Hope your bird is okay! :)
Okay so I figured out that my EE is laying sky blue eggs. She laid her first one yesterday and it was pretty big, I kinda feel sorry for her. I can also tell the difference between my Bl Am egg and EE egg, so that is also good. My EE egg is a matte sky blue, and my Am egg is a more glossy deeper...
Her color looks just like my OE from Meyer, but mine doesn't have the cute feathers on her head. When did your OE start laying and do you have any pictures of her eggs? IDK if mine isn't laying yet or is just laying brown eggs
I got a Rhode Island Red. I was actually really happy to get one because I was planning on getting one, but I ended up not being able to get a RIR because I had to make room for other breeds I was getting. I am also happy I got a useful breed that lays well and not a useless one.
I think only 3 or 4 hens were laying eggs last time I posted. Most of my chickens are laying now. I have 14 and 10 is the most I got in one day. I also got some new color eggs on New Year Day. Before that, I only had the Maran egg (top egg in pic) and a med caramelish brown color egg(bottom...
Back in December, I didn't realize my BCM started laying cuz she started laying in the dirt, behind a piece of wood. I found 5 or 6 of her eggs, but I couldn't eat them because it had rained. I'm pretty happy with the color of the BCM eggs especially because they are hatchery birds. I'm really...
