    How long is to long

We are not sure what else to do. One of our RIR has been sick for a while now. We initially thought that she might have been broody as she was staying on the nest. Then after about a week we noticed she wasn't looking to well and had lots of nasty poop on her bottom and started to wonder if...

    Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hello Neighborhoods, I am writing this with mixed emotions. I can not take the situation we are in any longer. Some of you might have seen a post I put up about maybe re-homeing our rooster. We live in the country and our neighbor has complained about our rooster because he crows to much...

    7mo Blue Andalusian Rooster

We live in southwestern Washington and I would much rather rehome this guy then to slaughter him. Right now I am just looking to see if there is an interest in him. We will decide by the weekend if he stays or goes.

    Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Is there a good way to know if you have any drafts? My fear is that our ventilation would be drafty, how do I know? I am sure I worry to much but I just want to insure we are keeping them healthy and comfy.

What, if anything, have you done to make your chickens comfortable tonight with the freeing temps? I really am not sure what to do for my girls. Should I keep the temp above a particular temp in the coop? They are 7 months old.
