Hi everyone! I'm looking for some hens I'm in the Tampa area. We're having a rooster to hen ratio issue and are looking to add 4 more hens. So if anyone has idea of any breeders or any has any hens for sale in the Tampa area.
Hi all! My rooster is now hitting that time were he's growing up. Which means he's become slightly aggressive. I love him and don't really wan to rid of him. It's come to the point where I go to them out and feed them that I can't even do that. This morning he was after me and chased me back...
One of my hens is hopping on one leg. I checked her out no signs of bumble foot or a broken leg. She doesn't seem to be in pain. Shes getting around and seems to be pretty happy. Any ideas what it could be... If anything.
I only know of chick breeders bc they tend to sell the first week they are hatched. I am in Wesley Chapelso you wouldn't be to far from Tropical Chickies. She's in Apopka. We drove over there and it was beautiful. Her setup is awesome! I would message her on FB that's the easiest way to reach...
I'm so proud that my guesses were actually right, haha! Wow it's crazy how different they are. I love reading about this stuff and look forward to breeding Slkies sometime in the near future.
The first one looks like a splash. The others are so unique though! The 3rd kinda looks like a partridge. Since I'm still kinda new to all this breeding stuff (reading about it) I'm not sure weather or not that's possible. Gonna be beauties either way!
Just regular chick feed, and some Pedialyte or anything with electrolytes. That's why I said Gatorade because its a common energy drink in the US. You would need a syringe to feed the chick.
What Pedialyte looks like...
