    Feathers look Awful!

    Is this poor thing developing normally? I have 2 other chicks of different breeds, and their feathers are coming in much better. Any idea as to what breed or gender this chick is? It is 4 weeks old.

    4 week old chicks, Mixed breeds?

    For a class project, eggs were donated to me to incubate. I have 3 four week old chicks now. Any ideas about breed or genders? Also, their feathers are coming in "rough." Is this normal?

    Chick slow to feather. Is something wrong?

    I have 3 (most likely mixed breed) chicks all born at the same time. One of them still looks only 3 days old when they are almost 2 weeks old. It's she sick or is she a he? I heard makes can take longer to feather, but I hate comparing when they aren't the same breeds.

    Breed or Gender of Class Project Chickens?

    As a 5th grade teacher, we incubated eggs. Only 4 hatched and of the 4, only 3 survived. The eggs were donated to me. I was told they consisted of Silkies, Orpingtons, and Rhode Island Reds. Can anyone confirm the breeds? I believe the brown one is a Silkie. I originally thought she was a Rhode...
