Believe it or not, we actually have two feed stores nearby. Both 5 minutes away and sell everything you need at much better prices than amazon or Tractor Supply
The local feed store sells them for halfthe price. Im actually mad at myself for shopping at TRactor supply. I can go to my local feed store and get everything wayyy cheaper, plus im supporting a local buisness.
I just picked up a 50 lb bag of 20% Flock Maker. It can be fed to laying age. Bought it for 13 bucks at my local feed store. Talked to a lady there and she said she switches everyone over to layer pellets once they begin to lay.
I have 5 Khaki Campbell Ducklings that will be turning 4 weeks old on Monday. They currently are eating Manna Pro Duck Starter/Grower 22% Protein. I was scared of them getting angel wing, so I mixed in some oats with their feed. They are about done with the 8 pound bag (I bought two of them)...
I have made a diy watered out of a five gallon bucket and spare planter tray- works great!!! They are now 3 weeks old and still very healthy. Their 22% Duckling/Gosling Starter grower is almost gone, so what feed should I switch to? Are they ready to go to adult feed? What amount of protein? Any...
Ok, nect question lol.
Theyre waterer is getting way too small. I fill it up at night and within 2 hours its bone dry. Any easy diy ideas that can hold them over til i invest in a big one?
Do they need water at night or will they be ok until morning?
They spent the night outside last night (temp never went below 50) and they seem to be just fine. I am happy that I no longer have to deal with the awful broooder mess!
Good Idea. They have a little chicken wire fence that they like to go in, but I think ill switch to the pen tomorrow since its safer from predators. They will be outside most of the day with a heat lamp.
Not sureif i could get a heat source outside in their run, but i can definatley have one in the house. They seem to never be huddled or cold when they are outside so i think tgeyll be ok
So it’s been warm in the days now 70s ish, and the ducklings love going outside to swim and play. I made a small chicken wire fence for them. This morning, It stunk so bad in our sunroom (where we keep them) that it took my breath away. They are about 2 weeks old now. The low temperature at...
