Quail hatching tomarrow but I need help
Hi There My Jumbo Coturnix are due to hatch tomarrow day 18 but I didnt realise I should have stopped turing three days beforehand so have only stoopped now. Does anyone know how this affects them or are they likely to be dead? Thanks -

Hi JJMR794 Thanks for your response, I bought what was supposed to be Jumbo Coturnix but when hatched it looks like I got a white english, 2 jumbo Coturnix - one being a tuxedo, and three standard Coturnix so if im reading your info right then they will be fine outside and I can colonise them... -

Hi There I have put 6 Quail outside in a raised hut with a raised wire mesh part on the front, first time could get them out since hatched due to bad weather. Is there a definitive answer are Quail better on raised mesh floors or on the ground? I have the room to do either but wandered which... -
Quail chicks plucking feathers/fluff
Not 100% sure about brroder temperature, but its in the living room so might be getting heat from that aswell to make it to hot. They seem to be going very bald around the wings area, ill try lifting the light a bit to see if it cools it down. But theyre not pecking each other very much mostly... -

Hi There I have hatched 6 japanese quail 5 days ago, they are all feeding and drinking water, I have them under a white bulb in brooder - tried red bulb but it startled them. but noy they have started to pluck their own fluff/feathers. any ideas what could be causeing it? Cheers
