I am doing my first ever hatching. I bought 12 welsummer eggs. yesterday was day 21 for them. 1 hatched late in the afternoon which is the chipmunk looking kind. pretty sure a roo..barely any colors on its head...but the one that hatched this morning is looking black to me..with a white...
I have 6 chickens....ranging 2 1/2 - 3+ months old....one of the younger ones i just found dead in the run...all the other chickens seem lively...i was just out there about an hour earlier to give them a bit of chicken scratch and he was eating away like the others...i have not noticed anything...

I just got two female muscovy's the other day...they are just 2 yrs old...one layed an egg today and is very protective....I know nothing ..just starting out...the owner had stated that they already had clutches....is there a way to tell by weight and air pocket if I candle it??? please any...
I spoke with the owner of the dog...basically I pre warned him that I may come across a bit rude but I have calmed down a great deal already...I stated that I am insisting on the dog being tied up or placed in his kennel and not roaming around....told him about the baby ducklings I just got...
