We've got a bator, currently in use and it's kinda large, but our eggs should hatch by next Thursday-ish. It's hubby's so I'd have to ask him, but we could probably let you borrow it in exchange for some Serama eggs ;)
Not Hercules! If only we need/had room for the most beautiful frizzled roo...
Sundance we only got the one Serama egg, who knows if it will even hatch! H was like "look how tiny this egg is! Oh! It's a Serama egg!" I even told him that you were getting some Serama from someone up our direction. Please post pics, I wanna see a frizzled NN!
Hubby's NN eggs came today and we were so excited (I think I almost gave him a heart attack when I remembered they were supposed to be here today and gasped/squealed very loudly in the car). They were waiting for us when we got home, YAY! We got 14 NN eggs total, 10 + 4 extras to account for...
Sundance, you are the best! We'll definitely hit you up again when we're in salt lake and not crazy busy. I would much rather have bought more turken eggs from you, but I knew we wouldn't be your direction for a while. I have a feeling I may regret my shipped eggs decision.
Cynthia, no! Don't tell me that! Were they the ones from the ebay seller? I hope we get a good hatch, I'll be sad for hubby (and my wallet) if we don't.
I did indeed! He's got a mix of 3+ Silkie, 3+ Show girl, and 3+ Turken eggs up right now and I kinda wish I'd seen it before I won that bid, I'd love some silkies and show girls. However, I hear hatch rate with shipped eggs is always questionable and hubby REALLY wanted turken eggs, so it's all...
Thank you Cynthia, I finally won a bid on some Turken eggs for hubby's (early) father's day present! They ship out Monday and he's setting the incubator back up Sunday!
What? No way! We go to Willow Park fairly often, I've never seen any gang related activity (ignorance is bliss?) I volunteer at the Gardener's Markets down there on Saturdays when I can, too. Small little world! Lately, though, we just hit Crystal hot springs every weekend.
Sundance I wanted you to see our frizzle babies. Hercules makes fine chickies! (hope this works, don't usually posr pics from my phone).
And one of Herbert, the Polish hubby bought me :)
Sundance you are super sweet but it's all good :) DH is right, we probably don't need more chickens, but he bought the frizzles I wanted from you so I feel bad that he doesn't have the breed he wants. The chicks we got from you are seriously the cutest, though, I adore them all!
Well, originally I was hiding from him so he wouldn't know I was trying to buy him Turkens for B-day/Father's Day...but he found out I went to IFA today and put two and two together, so I guess it doesn't matter now :) He hasn't been on super long and so far we've inherited our 4 (now down to 2)...
PS Sundancenbare our chicks from Hercules look awesome (My hubby and our baby came out to visit you a couple months ago, hubby contacted you but I actually don't know his username)! Of the 9 that hatched 5 are definitely frizzled and they are adorable. All of the Ameraucanas and one of the two...
