I love it, I have 2 bales in my coop and have not changed or cleaned it since the beginning of May. I have 13 birds utilizing the coop. The bales are 33lbs each.

FYI, I found a source for industrial hemp bedding. I picked up 10 bales last week. If anyone in the Moore county area had a need/desire to try hemp bedding I can sell a few bales for $30 each.

I use chips in my run, but would love to use the hemp there too if I can find a good supplier at an affordable price. The hemp seems to be better at controlling moisture and smell. I was skeptical at first but am highly impressed with it so far.

Hello NC, new member here just checking in from Moore County. I have a supply question. I just built a new coop and designed it to use the deep litter method. I am using Hemp as litter in the coop but am having trouble finding a local source. Lots available online but shipping is expensive...

My neighbor rented a ditch witch to install some drainage pipe in his yard. I ran the trencher and help him install the pipe in exchange for letting me borrow it for a couple hours. Those couple hours turned into a week long project! The coop has a 20 amp outlet outside, one inside and a...

We then decided to run power and water to the coop. No more drop cords across the yard and it's nice and convenient having a water hydrant right beside the coop.

Fast forward to 2020 and this is the new coop and new flock. I stole some ideas from Carolina Coops in the design. I am not a carpenter so the fit and finish on my coop is not comparable to carolina coops. They make some excellent coops but way out of my budget. I reused the old run, but added...

These are my first chickens, someone had dumped them off at a boat ramp. I had no idea what I was getting in to. I named them Bojangles, KFC, Chick-fil-A, and nugget. I thought the names were fitting and planned to eventually fill my freezer. My wife and Mr Fox however had other plans. We...

Hello BYC new member here from the old north state. I am not new to having chickens but I am no expert by any means. My first flock was by chance and I didn't know what I was getting in too. I found 4 meat chickens at the boat ramp but didn't know anything about them at that time. I brought...
