Pork Pie
Thanks pork pie, I found the NC thread. Looks like I got some reading to do. Over 4000 pages.

These are my first chickens, someone had dumped them off at a boat ramp. I had no idea what I was getting in to. I named them Bojangles, KFC, Chick-fil-A, and nugget. I thought the names were fitting and planned to eventually fill my freezer. My wife and Mr Fox however had other plans. We lost 3 to predators and Bojangles died of old age and is buried in our yard. I built my first coop out of scrap wood and reclaimed barn siding. It did the job, but I learned a lot from my mistakes.

Fast forward to 2020 and this is the new coop and new flock. I stole some ideas from Carolina Coops in the design. I am not a carpenter so the fit and finish on my coop is not comparable to carolina coops. They make some excellent coops but way out of my budget. I reused the old run, but added a predator apron and extended it under the coop. I was also able to salvage and re-use the old roof.
