feathers don't seem to be growing back

We didn't see any, but treated for mites over the summer. The 3 girls that are missing feathers have been missing them for several months. Our high day time temp doesn't normally reach 50 any longer and our night temp is dipping below freezing. Could these girls freeze? I'm concerned it...

feathers don't seem to be growing back

We have 6 2 yr old red sex links who lost many feathers this past spring/summer. I suspected the back/shoulder feathers were due to the aggressive rooster. He's gone now. We have about 30 new hens and 2 young roosters. None of the new hens are missing feathers. Of the older hens, 3 are...

show me your dark brahma cockrels!

someone, I think my blue andalusion young rooster, is pulling the feathers on the back of this birds head. Would a rooster let that happen? Can it just be the bottom of the "pecking" order? Or do brahma's just mature a bit slower? My other roos are a RIR and a Blue Andalusion. The RIR is...

    Meet the "Columbian Cartel"

Do you think my girl is Columbian or Lakenvelder? I got her from hatchery in an egg layer mix. I guess I take it back. My girl doesn't have yellow legs.

show me your dark brahma cockrels!

I'm not certain it is a Dark Brahma. It came in a mixed egg layer batch. However, hatchery says it always throws in an extra for fun.

show me your dark brahma cockrels!

The other day some posters told me this was a Dark Brahma cockrel. I'm still not convinced. It should be about 23 weeks old. No crow. Couldn't confirm eggs because I don't know who is laying. I saw my alpha rooster mount this bird a couple of weeks ago. It does have a bit of attitude...

Why is there no comb at all? Or waddles? It has not crowed yet either? Also is not trying to mount hens.

help me identify my new birds

What's your thoughts on the black/grey/blue roo? Best I can find online he's Blue Andalusian. Everything I see makes me think they aren't very common, but I'm pretty sure we got 1 roo, 2 hens and 2 more splash hens.
