    Cackle Hatchery Surprise Box at 7 weeks

    It was a surprise box so we aren't *sure* that they are bantams, but we do suspect that they may be as the white ones that resemble the light brahmas are growing larger.

    We just had a box arrive today with 50 chicks ! Other than two that are Turken I am clueless about the breeds.

    Do you mark your chick and is so how?

    Do you mark your chicks in any way to help tell them apart, we have chicks about to hatch and some from cackle and would love to put them together, but at the same time want to know who from our birds and who is from them.

    All of this horse makes me miss my old boy :( We checked our incubator tonight and were shocked to see that we have several pips. These chicks were set for a leap year hatch.
