    Your hens will lay eggs no matter what. If they are in the "tractor" they will just find a spot and lay the egg. The problem with that is that the egg will probably get trampled on since it could be sitting anywhere in their way. A solution to this is to just have a wooden shoe box or...

    Knowing how I am...I'd put them on the pullets and then forget about them...and then the chickens would grow and I'd wind up cutting circulation off from their legs. I think I would forget to check the fit of any type of band.

    For the life of me...I just can't imagine giving a chicken a bath!!!!! I could hold em...sure. Pet em..yeah ok. But bathing them???? I would think I'd need atleast 10 helpers to keep the chicken in tub.

    Plexiglass shutters sound great because they will still let in the light. I live in PA and at our coldest point we get below 0 F ...so trust me when I say...most breeds of chicken can deal with cold just fine without closing off their ventilation.
