Thanks raph :) I havent been able to contact the lady we got them from but i'll hopefully see her in a couple of weeks to ask, i'll let you know what she says.
Hi qwackers,
sorry for the late reply! ive had a look, youre right they do know alot about chickens! thanks for all your help :) how are your ducks doing?
Cheers for having a look Megan. Yeah we thought Ryu might be a rooster, none of them have fury feet, I did look up some pictures of the polish breed does look a bit like ours, I think someone on another board said about araucanas ( think that's the right spelling) looking forward to Maude's eggs...
Hi guys, we're from the UK (hi qwackers)
Just wandering if you can have a quick look at our post on the breed and gender thread? We've having trouble working out what are chicks are :/ any help would be much appreciated :)
Patrick and Demi (mainly Demi haha)
Aw wow, we love ducks and hoping to get some once we've got used to our chicks :) thank you for looking anyway, I'll post pictures on that thread then and see what comes up. Are you planning on getting chickens?
hi everyone,
we're young gardeners starting off our first vegetable patch in our garden. we have planted lettuces, onions, potatoes, spring onions, brussel sprouts, garlic, parsnips, carrots and cabbage! its all looking good so far, fingers crossed!
hi :) we're not actually sure what they are! all 4 seem to be different. we've posted some pictures on the breed and gender thread so hopefully someone will know! how about you?
Thank you :-) we've posted some on there already if you want to have a look? just waiting for some more replies, still new to this so not really sure how things work.
We had a feeling about chook too. It tends to be ryu and crow that spar, crow is the biggest of them all. chook is pretty laid back and stays out of the others way.
Thank you, they are all very sweet and get along very well together. We can't believe how quickly they have grown already. They're pretty good at being handled apart from chook, he/she doesn't seem to like it so much.

Here are our 4 chicks we could really use a hand on breed and gender because we have no idea :/
They're just head shots but can take some more pictures if needed!
Ryu
Voldermaude ( Maude for short)
Maude seems to have a beard, but you can't really tell in the pictures.
Chook
Crow...
Hi there
Just got 4 chicks about 4 weeks ago, we think they're about 8 weeks old, first time keeping chickens and both very excited!
Will post some pictures later as we need help on what breed they are/ male or female
Cheers
Patrick and Demi
