    Hi everyone, One of my kids friends spooked the girls today and Hoot tried to jump up to her roost from the back side and took quite a hit on her tailfeathers.     Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I was able to find some local chickens...good ol' Uncle Henry's. I will be getting 4 barred rocks and 4 Aracaunas on Friday night. YAY!!!

    We used to have a restaurant around here called Chuck Wagon so we are naming our coop "Chook Wagon." It came to me around 6:30 this morning when I was in that half awake, half asleep state. Always when I do my best problem solving! We won't be eating our chooks though
