We seem to have lost my fav chicken, Doodle, as of 24 hours ago, when she didn't come home to roost. Now, I have 2 other chickens that are limping, holding their legs up like flamingos. Both legs/feet look and feel perfectly fine and joints feel stable and not swollen. No sign of bumblefoot...

I thought we had another 3-4 weeks at least, but yesterday after finding a cracked egg by coop door, I put in a temp nesting box and lo and behold....

Hmmmm....11 1/2 weeks, now. The larger waddles suddenly appeared about 2 weeks ago, though, he/she's always seemed to have a larger comb than others.

My Columbian rock alpha, Doodle, has developed much quicker than all the other hens. I'm betting hen, my husband bets the opposite. What do you think?
