Well, I still have hope for my flock. I've read a few accounts of pullets getting red faced prematurely, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that's what's happening with mine. Maybe they just got too much sun, or it's something to do with their genetics. I'd hate to have to get rid of that many of my babies.

It depends on how old Doodle is. If over 12 weeks old, pullet. If under 10 weeks, cockerel.

That's not good. That could mean that nearly half of my flock of 10 that were supposed to be all pullets might be cockerels. Charlie Brown moment of raising chickens.

We can't be sure though until we see full body pictures it could *possibly* be pullets.

Hmmmm....11 1/2 weeks, now. The larger waddles suddenly appeared about 2 weeks ago, though, he/she's always seemed to have a larger comb than others.
